Costa Rica - works on paper
Inspired by the 2-D work I made earlier in the year at my residency in Fiskars, Finland, I decided to spend my residency at the Julia and David White Artists Colony in Ciudad Colon, Costa Rica working on paper. I brought colored vinyl and three different types of scissors and went for it. By the end of two weeks, I had over fifty small collages, inspired by music, rain forests, cloud forests, and conversations with my fellow residents.
Several works from this series are available for purchase.

Hubb's Barn
In 2019, I finally returned to collage during a two week "rest-idency" at a remote cabin in the Sierras. Using hand-cut pieces of sign vinyl, I created more intricate works at a larger scale than I had explored in Costa Rica. Many of these new works are available for sale on this website.

Sou'Wester
More collage work made at an artist's residency at the Sou-Wester in March 2020. To see an artist's statement video I made about my large piece, click here.

Bird Cards
I spent much of 2020 working on art as a way to cope with the pandemic isolation. The result is a series of 54 bird collages that I'll be selling this October to raise funds to make them into a playing card deck. I've been showing these works on my Instagram site (link at the bottom of page) as I finish them. There will be several live streaming events in October when you can watch me create these in real time. Details about available works are in my Current + Future Projects section.
