This sculpture is one of a series of nine designs I created for the American Craft Council's Baltimore Craft Week. This is a one of a kind piece, shown in the first few images. The last three images with groupings show some of the other birds from this series.
It measures 13 inches high, 4.5 inches wide and 2.5 inches deep.
It is made from Aluminum, Walnut, Padauk and Maple Woods with embedded colored pencils added as a design element. The base is made from a piece of wood someone gave me years ago-- I think it might be some kind of ebony. There are a few shallow cracks in the surface in a few spots but it does not affect the integrity of the wood or aesthetics of the piece. (The pencils are on all sides of the base) As this piece is part of a series, your piece may not have the exact color placement as seen here, but it will have the same color balance and feel of this one. Similarly, there may be a slight change in the grain of the woods used, but will not differ dramatically from what you see here. Wing and eye are only on front side of aluminum silhouette.
This piece will take up to three weeks to make and ship, and be sent via insured Priority Mail.
