This fish sculpture is made from various hardwoods (cherry, walnut, maple) and laser cut aluminum shapes. Each side is a different combination of wood and metal elements, held in place with aluminum rivets. This is a derivative work, similar to to the permanent installation I created for the University of Oregon in 2019, shown in detail in the third image here. For more images from this installation, please see the "public works" section of my website under the title "Confluence."
It measures 13 inches in length, 3 inches high and one inch thick. Weighs about 10 ounces.
Comes ready to hang with an eye hook in the top. If you are interested in a more sophisticated hanging method, please see additional listing for "hanging mount for fish sculptures." For a small additional cost ($30,) I can embed a stainless steel cable up to 3 feet long in the top of this piece and supply a quick-release ceiling mount valued at $15. The ceiling mount and an example of the look of the suspended fish using this system are shown here in the last three images. If you choose this hanging method, please find my listing for "hanging mount for fish sculptures" and add the same number to your cart as the number of fish you purchase.
