Rule No. 14

Created for a show at Portland State University, Littman Gallery, which invited five artists to work with the idea of "play." I made a list of unspoken rules about art, such as having pedestals elevate works to a comfortable viewing height, not putting your work too close to anyone else's, and this piece, which refers to the taboo of not buying art to match your couch.

This piece was later accepted into the Northwest Biennial, Tacoma Art Museum, 2003--curated by Ilya and Emilia Kabakov
