Over the course of a year, I worked with a committee that included architects, engineers, artists, building users and the Oregon Arts Commission to create a permanent piece of art that celebrates the site’s revolutionary zebrafish research labs. My installation was sited in a pre-existing wood ceiling, which I enhanced with laser cut panels and suspended sculptures. Each of the wood and metal hanging fish sculptures are unique in design on each side, providing new perspectives from many angles in this high-trafficked lobby.
