This piece incorporates many pieces of reclaimed wood including a mahogany base, and the bird is made from walnut, maple, wenge, oak, and a yellowood beak. The dots on the wings and chest are inlaid birch, oak, cherry and walnut. The two wide surfaces of the base are surface carved to have a subtle texture.
 
It measures 12 inches high, 6 inches wide and a little over 2 inches deep.
